Designer Day

Saturday's classes with Madison Parker from Echo Park Paper were fabulous! Two of my cute friends, Liz & Dena, from church came (top left corner of collage) and for Liz, it was her first time scrapbooking. She caught on right away and finished her book before class was over! Dena is 18 weeks pregnant! We are due 1 day apart from each other and can't believe that we get to experience being 1st time mommy's together. I will keep you posted on that, as our moms (who are also friends) take belly shots of the two of us together frequently!

Back to Designer Day: It's hard not to enjoy a class from Madison with his big personality. Most everyone mentioned that they can't wait to have him back. He has been out to visit MMU 3 times. Madison previously worked at My Mind's Eye, then moved to Fancy Pants before deciding to start his own company. Echo Park Paper is off to a great start! It's one of our most saught after lines already, just having been in business for less than a year. He has been in the scrapbook industry for over 10 years! ( about the same as me!) He knows independent stores well and aims to help make them successful. Thank you, Madison for coming to Tucson to see us!

  2. Bummed I miss the designer day... But! I was at MMU for a Mania on Saturday and saw a super cute page w/ two butterflies on the wall / counter behind the registers (leading into the crop area). Would love to see that layout turned into a class, if possible! Loved the papers, loved the butterflies.
